Tournament Entry Fees:

  • 08U Coach Pitch - $250 (max 16 teams)
  • 09U - $325 (max 12 teams)
  • 10U - $325 (max 20 teams)
  • 11/12U - $350 (max 16 teams)
  • 13/14U - $375 (max 8 teams)

Tournament Format:

  • Three (3) game guarantee
  • Two (2) pool play games to determine seeding
  • Single-elimination bracket play from seeding

Tournament Details:

  • Games to be played at Bacchus, Phillips, and  Warren sports complexes
  • Teams must be registered with Super Series
  • Teams must provide proof of insurance
  • All games shall adhere to Super Series rules
  • Teams will be placed on a first paid, first serve basis
  • Special playing time requests will be granted to out of teams first as we try to accomodate as many requests as possible

FBSA 8U Non-Sanctioned Kid Pitch Tournament
June 25-27, 2010

*Registration deadline is June 18, 2010*

Tournament Updates:

  • All players on FBSA teams must be rostered players from the FBSA Spring 2010 league to be covered by FBSA insurance

Tournament Entry Fees:

  • 08U - $200

Tournament Format:

  • Three (3) game guarantee
  • Two (2) pool play games to determine seeding
  • Single-elimination bracket play from seeding

Tournament Details:

  • Games to be played at B.F. Phillips Community Park
  • All games shall adhere to Super Series 8U Kid Pitch rules
  • Teams will be placed on a first paid, first serve basis
  • Awards for 1st and 2nd place
  • Line-ups will be exchanged at the pre-game meeting and one copy will go to the OFFICIAL SCOREKEEPER
  • Teams need to be ready to start games at the scheduled game time
  • Game time is forfeit time, unless special considerations are to be made:
    • Teams playing back-to-back will get a 10-minute break
    • Game delays, weather, etc.
    • Game clock will start when umpire notifies the official scorekeeper
  • Rainouts - if a rainout occurs after the start of the tournament, entry fees will be refunded on a prorated basis figured on a game played vs game guaranteed (a game started is a game played)

FBSA Inaugural Wood Bat Classic
April 23-25, 2010

*Registration deadline is April 16, 2010*

Tournament Updates:

  • Schedules have been modified to accommodate rain delay; games will resume at 1:00pm Saturday, 4/24/10
  • All remaining pool play games are shortened to 90 minute game lengths
  • 3rd place game will be 105 minute game length (one full extra inning and then california tie breaker to complete if needed, see bottom of page for California tie-breaker format)
  • Championship game will be played as originally planned (full 7 inning game, no time limit, no ties, full extra innings to complete)

  • Playoff seeding explained:
    • Seed #1 = Pool A 1st
    • Seed #2 = Pool A 2nd
    • Seed #3 = Pool B 1st
    • Seed #4 = Pool B 2nd

Tournament Format:

  • Three (3) Game Guarantee
  • Three (3) Pool Play Games:
    • 2 pools of 4 teams, 3 game round robin format within each pool
    • 105 minute games 
    • No Extra innings - when time expires inning is completed (Same as FBSA regular season games)
    • Two (2) umpires
    • Pool games will dictate the seeding of final two games
  • Final games:
    • 2nd place in each pool to play 3rd place consolation game (105 minute game - no ties)
    • 1st place in each pool play for championship (Full 7 inning game, no time limit, no ties)

Tournament Details:

  • Games to be played at Warren Sports Complex Field 1.
  • Teams must compete with their current FBSA roster.
  • All games shall adhere to current FBSA 13/14UAA rules.
  • Line-ups will be exchanged at the pregame meeting and one copy will go to the OFFICIAL SCOREKEEPER.
  • Teams need to be ready to start games at the scheduled game time.
  • There will be no on field pregame warmups in an effort to keep games on time.
  • Game time is forfeit time, unless special considerations are to be made:
    • Teams playing back-to-back will get a 10-minute break
    • Game delays, weather, etc.
    • Game clock will start when umpire notifies the official scorekeeper.
  • Protests are $50 cash up front (no checks) - the tournament director, assistant tournament director and the umpire in chief will decide any disputes or protests on the spot
  • Rainouts - if a rainout occurs after the start of the tournament, entry fees will be refunded on a prorated basis figured on a game played vs game guaranteed (a game started is a game played)
  • Awards:
    • 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place award will be given.

Information Required at Check-In: Nothing required at check-in. Teams should carry a copy of their FBSA roster with names that match their submitted lineups.

Tournament Directors:

 

"California Tiebreaker" for 3rd place game is as follows:

    • Each team will start with two outs and a runner on second.
    • The runner on second is the player who made the last out the previous inning.
    • Each team then plays to the 3rd out and completes the inning until there is a winner.
    • All other rules remain the same (i.e., pitching rules, run limit rules, etc.)

Tournament Refund Policy

It is the intent of FBSA to play each tournament to its final conclusion.  However, due to circumstance beyond our control, either man-made or an act of God, a tournament may have to be shortened, postponed or cancelled.

Before any tournament is officially cancelled, every opportunity will be made to reschedule or resume play at the first opportunity, as dictated by management, local government, local league play and/or sanctioning body.  We will post all tournament updates on our website, including any cancellation or modifications.

In the event a tournament must be cancelled or rescheduled and a team can not attend, it will be our policy to follow the refund policy of the sanctioning body unless otherwise stated in the tournament rules.

In the event a tournament is rescheduled and your team can not participate, please notify our staff as soon as possible requesting the appropriate refund.  Any team withdrawing from a tournament will not be eligible for any awards such as tournament berths, trophies, etc.

Full refund if withdrawal occurs more than 30 days in advance.  No refund will be issued for any team that withdraws from the tournament after the Friday preceding the tournament.
